
Pashinyan, Erdoğan Discuss Importance of Regional Stability, Peace
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met today on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China, and stressed the importance of steps to establish stability and peace in the South Caucasus.
Pashinyan’s office reports that the two stressed the need to maintain constructive approaches to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and develop regional communications.
Turkey’s Daily Sabah newspaper reports that Erdoğan expressed satisfaction with progress in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and said his country supports peace, stability and development in the region.
Erdoğan’s office has released a video of the meeting that was attended by the foreign ministers of the two countries.
Erdoğan, today, also met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the SCO summit and discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
