Pashinyan Tours Yerevan Exhibition Showcasing Artisitc Heritage of Armenia, Christian East

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan visited the History Museum of Armenia in Yerevan on September 21 and toured an exhibition showcasing the richness and diversity of the centuries-old artistic heritage of Armenia and the Christian East.

The exhibition, “Sacred Dialogue: From the Louvre to the History Museum of Armenia” opened yesterday to coincide with Armenia’s Independence Day.

Sixteen remarkable Eastern Christian masterpieces from the Louvre Museum collection are exhibited in a dialogue format with a specially selected selection from the  collections of the History Museum of Armenia.

Works from the 4th to the 19th centuries are presented: examples of glass and woodwork, stone sculptures - khachkars, architectural fragments, exclusive jewelry works, as well as church vestments, curtains, dishes, and icons.

The exhibition marks the beginning of a new format of cooperation between the History Museum of Armenia and the Louvre Museum based on the memorandum signed between the two institutions last year.

The exhibition will be open until March 21, 2026.
