Train Carrying Russian Wheat Reaches Armenia via Azerbaijan
The first batch of Russian wheat, 1,050 tons, delivered from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan, has arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan and Georgia.
South Caucasus Railways reports that the train passed through the territory of Azerbaijan and crossed the Georgia-Armenia state border.
Another 132 wagons of wheat via this route will reach Armenia by the end of January 2026.
Azerbaijan, in October, lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia via its territory.
Armenia is heavily dependent on grain imports from Russia.
