High School Director in Armenia Charged with Embezzlement
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC) reports that the former director of the country’s Noravan Secondary School used his official powers to embezzle money and committed official forgery.
The ACC says the director of the school, in the southern town of Sisian, paid AMD 2.7 million (US$7,066) to friends he appointed as staffers at the school during 2012 and 2024 who never showed up for work.
The unnamed director then pocketed the money.
