Armenian Foreign Minister, Georgian Prime Minister Discuss Transit Potential
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met in Tbilisi on November 14 and discussed ongoing efforts to deepen relations between their two countries, focusing on the unblocking of transportation links in the South Caucasus.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, summarized the agreements reached in Washington D.C. in August in this regard and the potential they offer to spur transport in the region.
Mirzoyan thanked Kobakhidze for Georgia’s support for the peace deal reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The two also exchanged views on international developments and other issues of mutual interest.
Mirzoyan, during his official visit to Georgia, has met with the country’s president, Mikhail Kavelashvili, and Parliament President Shalva Papuashvili.
