Armenian, German Foreign Ministers Meet in Vienna

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Germany (Ararat Mirzoyan, Johann Wadephul) met yesterday on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Conference in Vienna and discussed deepening relations between their two countries.

The ministers, according to Mirzoyan's office, welcomed the recent signing of a strategic partnership agenda between Armenia and the European Union.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on regional developments.

Mirozyan described Armenia's approaches to the further institutionalization of peace between Yerevan and Baku, as well as the unblocking of regional transport and economic infrastructure.

"The effective realization of the potential of the South Caucasus to become a transport hub can transform the region and play an important role in the development of the interconnection network," Mirzoyan said.
