Catholicos Aram I Honored in Cyprus
Catholicos Aram I was the guest of honor at a banquet held in Nicosia’s Hilton Hotel on December 6 marking his election and consecration as head of the Great House of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Catholicos Aram I arrived in Cyprus on December 5 on a pontifical visit.
In his remarks, the church leader affirmed that the Great House of Cilicia remains a vigilant guardian of Armenian identity in the diaspora and a clear voice for justice.
“We will continue to be a supporter, reinforcer, and partner for this community,” Catholicos Aram I told those attending the gala banquet.
