To commemorate International Human Rights Day, members of the ARF Nikol Aghbalyan Student Union staged a protest in front of the UN office in Yerevan today to highlight the rights violations faced by Armenian prisoners of war who are being unlawfully held in Baku.

The protesters demanded that the UN form an independent, impartial public observation mission to clarify the plight of Armenian POWs held in Baku prisons and publicize its findings.

They also called on the UN to implement clear mechanisms to ensure the unhindered access of international organizations to Baku prisons.
