Armenian Foreign Minister in Brussels for Informal Meeting with EU Colleagues
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is in Brussels today and will informally meet with European Union foreign ministers over breakfast prior to a session of the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council.
The council is scheduled to discuss Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and the EU’s relationship with China.
Mirzoyan will not participate in the council’s formal session.
During the breakfast meeting, Mirzoyan and the ministers discussed the recently signed Armenia-EU partnership agenda and ongoing steps to relax EU visa restrictions for Armenia citizens.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, told the ministers that Armenia welcomes EU engagement in potential infrastructure projects in the South Caucasus following the reopening of transportation links.
