The foreign ministers of Armenia and Luxembourg (Ararat Mirzoyan, Xavier Bettel) signed a Joint Declaration on a Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg during their meeting yesterday in Luxembourg.

The document reaffirms the determination of the two countries to deepen their relations in the areas of politics, economy, defense, security, justice, culture, education, environment, and explore their expansion to new areas.

One passage of the document reads:

“Recognizing the multifaceted challenges faced by Armenia, being a landlocked country with limited access to global trade markets, the Parties will enhance cooperation to promote regional and international trade and transport connectivity, including through support to each other’s projects, such as Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative."
