Pashinyan Forecasts TRIPP Construction to Begin in Mid-2026

Armenia and the United States are collaboratively formulating a document that will establish the strategic framework for the TRIPP connectivity project, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan announced today during a press briefing,. adding that work on the TRIPP project is anticipated to begin in the latter half of 2026.

Pashinyan indicated that initial activities within the TRIPP project would likely involve railway construction as a priority.

Pashinyan noted that his government is actively pursuing modernization of border and customs infrastructure and equipment. These enhancements are set to be implemented at Armenia’s borders not only with Azerbaijan, but also with Iran, Georgia, and Türkiye.

The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) is an Armenian connectivity project developed under the terms of a U.S.-facilitated Armenian-Azerbaijani joint declaration signed in Washington, D.C. last August.
