ARF to Participate in June Parliamentary Election as Part of Coalition
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) will participate in the June parliamentary election in Armenia this year as part of a coalition.
ARF member Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a parliamentary deputy of the opposition Hayastan faction, told reporters today that the ARF plans to launch discussions with other political forces to expand the current alliance in a bid to oust pro-Pashinyan forces from power in the legislature and the government․
“This is not an ordinary, regular or merely the next election for us. The fate of the Armenian people and our state will be determined by the results of these elections. We view these elections as an opportunity to prevent the reproduction of this government,” said Saghatelyan.
The ARF participated in the 2021 parliamentary election as part of the Hayastan (Armenia) Alliance led by former Armenian president Robert Kocharyan.
The alliance has twenty-nine deputies in the current parliament.
