Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, now on an official visit to Iran, today met with his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

The two ministers, according to Papikyan's office, exchanged views on several issues related to regional and international security, and expressed their determination to continue working towards the development of bilateral relations, and discussed defense cooperation issues.

Papikyan also met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi.  

Issues related to Armenia-Iranian cooperation in the defense sector and regional security were discussed during the meeting.
