100 Starlink Internet Terminals Shipped to Armenia

One hundred new Starlink terminals have arrived in Armenia and will be installed in schools across the country, this according to Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

Hayrapetyan said Starlink donated the terminals to address the internet connection issue in Armenian educational institutions, particularly those located in high-altitude areas and that the company has assumed full payment for the service for one year.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced the donation during his February trip to Armenia.

Starlink is a global satellite system designed and operated by Elon Musk's SpaceX. Unlike traditional satellite internet, which uses devices thousands of kilometers above the Earth, Starlink satellites are in low Earth orbit, which provides high-speed connectivity. Thus, the internet becomes available in places where traditional cable or cellular connections are absent.
