Following reports from its readers that special police operations are underway in various parts of the Yerevan, Hetq reached out to the Ministry of the Interior for comment.

Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan confirmed that ministry officials, in conjunction with the Investigative Committee, are conducting searches at some twenty addresses in Yerevan.

No information has yet been released regarding the purpose of the operations or other details.
