Armenia: Former Labor Minister, PM Advisor, Arrested
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee today arrested six former government officials including former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, former Head of the State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan, and Hayk Davtyan, advisor to former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
Anti-Corruption Committee Press Secretary Marina Ohanjanyan told Hetq that the arrests are part of an ongoing criminal investigation, the specifics of which cannot be provided right now.
A Hetq source says the investigation involves fraud and abuse of power violations.
