Armenia and Bulgaria Sign Strategic Partnership Declaration
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today welcomed the President of Bulgaria, Iliana Yotova, to Armenia to attend the 8th Summit of the European Political Community.
Pashinyan congratulated Ms. Yotova on assuming the office of President of the Republic of Bulgaria and wished her success.
Pashinyan noted that the relations between the two countries are at a high level of political dialogue and it will be recorded in a document of a strategic nature of relations to be signed today. Pashinyan emphasized that bilateral relations between Armenia and Bulgaria have great potential. Nikol Pashinyan also thanked Bulgaria for the support provided to Armenia within the framework of the European Union.
Iliana Yotova expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and for hosting the European Political Community Summit. The Bulgarian president emphasized that the EPC Summit has achieved tangible results since its inception.
The interlocutors discussed topical issues related to the further development of Armenia-Bulgaria relations, touched upon various topics of regional importance.
Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Yotova signed the Joint Declaration “On Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Bulgaria”.
