Catholicos Aram I Offers Prayers at Vatican
During his four-day official visit to the Vatican, Catholicos Aram I held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Armenia and Lebanon to the Holy See, Boris Sahakyan and Fadi Assaf.
The newly appointed Ambassador of Lebanon to the Holy See paid a visit to Catholicos Aram I at the Vatican’s official guest residence, where the Catholicos resided during his stay.
His Holiness, accompanied by his delegation, paid an official visit to the Embassy of Armenia to the Holy See.
Following these meetings, Aram I and his entourage visited the tombs of Saint Peter the Apostle and Pope Francis, as well as the statues of Saint Gregory the Illuminator and Saint Gregory of Nareg. During these visits, prayers were offered, and hymns were chanted, creating profound moments of spiritual reflection and reverence.
During the visit, former heads of various Vatican dicasteries met with Catholicos Aram I. Their discussions broadly addressed inter-church matters and the relations between the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and the Vatican.
