Armenia's POW, Missing Persons Committee Discusses Priorities

Armenia’s Interdepartmental Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing (Whereabouts Unknown) Persons met today in Yerevan under the chairmanship National Security Service Director Andranik Simonyan.  

Simonyan, according to his office, outlined the issues raised at the previous meeting and progress on related instructions. He also addressed the legal provisions of Armenia’s Law On Persons Missing in Conditions and Circumstances Created as a Result of Military Operations, which took effect on May 1, 2026, stressing their importance for regulating missing persons cases and implementing the law.

The session also covered coordination among state bodies and relevant organizations and instructions were issued for further work.
