Law enforcement officers today serached the homes of supporters of the Armenia (Hayastan) alliance in Gyumri today.

Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC) press secretary Marina Ohanjanyan announced that the raids are part of a criminal investigation looking into June 7 election bribery cases.

ACC investigators searched the apartment of Karen Simonyan, a member of the Mother Armenia faction of the Gyumri municipal council. It is not known what they are looking for or what they have confiscated.

Karen Simonyan was nominated as a candidate for deputy on the Armenia alliance list in the June 7 parliamentary election.

The alliance came in third in the June 7 election with ten percent of the vote.
