Pashinyan Congratulates Macron on Bastille Day

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron today on Bastille Day, the country’s national holiday.

“July 14 has a special meaning not only for France, but also for all peoples sharing the values ​​of freedom, equality, and fraternity. This day is the best opportunity to appreciate the rich political and ideological heritage of France, the principles underlying which have become the pillars of the modern democratic world,” Pashinyan’s message reads.

Pashinyan writes that these values have elevated Armenia-France relations to an unprecedented level, giving them new quality and strategic depth.

“Today, the Armenia-France strategic partnership is advancing across key areas, including political dialogue, defense, the economy, investments, infrastructure, energy, education, science, culture, and decentralized cooperation. It is also expanding into innovations, artificial intelligence, biodiversity protection, and climate action. I am confident that implementing our ambitious joint agenda will further strengthen this partnership for the benefit of both peoples.”
