Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Senior Advisor to the U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Missions Aryeh Lightstone met today in Yerevan and discussed issues related to the implementation of the TRIPP project in Armenia.

Pashinyan, according to his office, highlighted the role of the United States and President Donald Trump, in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Aryeh Lightstone conveyed Trump’s congratulations to Pashinyan on his re-appointment as Armenian prime minister. He expressed confidence that under Pashinyan’s leadership Armenia will continue to take steps aimed at strengthening democracy.

Real estate mogul Steve Witcoff currently serves as U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Missions.

Appointed in 2025 by President Donald Trump, his role focuses on leading diplomatic engagements and high-level mediation for major international conflicts. who are tasked with leading high-level negotiations for international conflict.

Working alongside Witkoff, is Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner who focuses on backchannel diplomatic talks and foreign negotiations involving the Middle East, Iran, and Ukraine.
