Armenian parliament speaker Ruben Rubinyan and China’s Ambassador to Armenia Xinwei Li met today in Yerevan and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries.

They also discussed expanding inter-parliamentary relations.

Armenia and China formally established diplomatic ties on April 6, 1992. Relations reached a major milestone in August 2025 when Chinese President Xi Jinping and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met in Tianjin to officially upgrade bilateral ties to a strategic partnership, expanding cooperation across trade, infrastructure, security, and regional transit.
