Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia’s new parliament speaker, and UK Ambassador to Armenia Alexandra Cole met today in Yerevan and discussed regional developments and the importance of expanding cooperation between their two countries.

The two noted that relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom have made significant progress in recent years and are developing within the framework of a strategic partnership that was signed in Yerevan on May 4, 2026.

The new framework elevates bilateral ties to focus on defense, economic diversification, and democratic resilience.
