Armenian Border Guard and State Revenue Committee Representatives Attend U.S. International Rail Interdiction Training
From August 10-14, representatives from Armenia’s Border Guard Service and State Revenue Committee participated in U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) International Rail Interdiction Training in El Paso, Texas.
During the training, the Armenian participants gained firsthand exposure to U.S. practices in rail border security, customs controls, risk-based targeting, and inspection procedures for cross-border rail traffic. The program also provided an opportunity to observe these practices in an operational environment and exchange approaches that could help strengthen Armenia’s capacity for secure and efficient cross-border rail operations as the country advances regional connectivity through the TRIPP initiative.
CBP provides international rail interdiction training to international customs and border security partners as part of broader U.S. efforts to strengthen port-of-entry and border security capabilities.
