Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) has officially accused Gritti LLC, a prominent branded clothing retailer in Yerevan, of evading AMD 1.577 billion (US$4.4 million) in taxes.

The company operates the high-end boutique La Galleria located in Yerevan. It is publicly affiliated with the family of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.

The SRC, in a statement released today, claims to have reviewed the company’s internal accounting documents confirming the tax evasion scheme.

Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office, on August 25,  stated that the current director executed the primary tax evasion scheme between November 2021 and July 2026. A former director is also being indicted for a separate tax loss of roughly AMD 328 million.  

Investigators officially closed and sealed the premises of La Galleria that same day.
