U.S. President Donald Trump has sent the following message to Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan on the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. (Transcript according to Pashinyan’s office).

On behalf of the American people, I warmly congratulate you and the Armenian people on Armenia's Independence Day.

We join you in celebrating your country's commitment to peace, prosperity, and democracy. For 35 years, Armenia has been a steadfast partner regarding these values. As we advance the historic 'Trump Path to International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) initiative, we look forward to building and investing in Armenia, thereby ensuring the fulfillment of our commitment to peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus.  

As we discussed during our telephone conversation in August, we have made history together in just over a year. Your commitment to peace will create immense opportunities for Armenia, the United States, and the region.

The shared values ​​of our peoples continue to serve as the foundation for the friendship between our two countries. I congratulate the Armenian people and your government.
