Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in New York on Wednesday. 

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly where they discussed the broader Armenia–European Union cooperation agenda, including democratic reforms and economic diversification support.

Pashinyan, according to his office, highlighted the importance of EU's support for Armenia's economic diversification process and the decisions adopted to that end. Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the EU's support for the effective implementation of democratic reforms in Armenia.

Ursula von der Leyen noted that the EU will continue to support the advancement of the Armenian Government's programs and the development of cooperation across various sectors. The interlocutors also addressed issues of regional significance.
