YEREVAN — Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan unveiled the country’s massive "Crossroads of Peace" infrastructure strategy to over 2,000 international delegates at the inaugural Armenia-United Kingdom Business Forum 2026.

Today's high-profile event was co-organized by the Oxford Alumni Business Club of Armenia, Enterprise Armenia, and the British-Armenian Chamber of Commerce to secure international capital for regional logistics and energy projects.

Megaprojects & Regional Connectivity

Pashinyan outlined plans to transform the South Caucasus into a vital trade hub linking the West, the Persian Gulf, and the Black Sea:

  • TRIPP Initiative: Launch the TRIPP peace and prosperity transit corridor.
  • Turkish Borders: Open land borders and direct rail lines with Turkey.
  • Azerbaijan Links: Restore direct railway connections with Azerbaijan.
  • Energy Corridors: Build regional oil, gas, and power transmission lines.

 Economic Growth & Tech Priorities

Pashinyan highlighted Armenia’s recent macroeconomic outperformance to attract British investors:

  • GDP Growth: Achieved 7.9% average annual GDP growth recently.
  • Future Targets: Targeting 6% annual economic growth moving forward.
  • Green Energy: Institutionalize renewable energy grid infrastructure.
  • Innovation: Capitalize on rapid breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.

Pashinyan concluded by urging private business leaders to move quickly, noting that unbureaucratic corporate action is the fastest way to turn political partnerships into commercial realities.
