Armenia, Germany Advance Strategic Partnership and Trade Ties at Warsaw Security Forum
WARSAW — Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met today with German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on the sidelines of the prestigious Warsaw Security Forum.
The high-level encounter, reported by the ministry's press service, served as a platform to deepen bilateral relations and solidify mutual commitments toward regional infrastructure and European integration.
The two foreign ministers thoroughly reviewed the active implementation of the Armenia–Germany strategic partnership agenda. Both sides strongly emphasized moving toward highly result-oriented cooperation, pledging to execute concrete, targeted projects in pre-determined focal sectors.
Booming Bilateral Trade and EU Cooperation
A significant portion of the diplomatic dialogue centered on trade and economic relations. Mirzoyan and Wadephul noted with mutual satisfaction a sustained positive trend in the export of Armenian-made goods to Germany. The ministers highlighted that autonomous trade measures recently adopted by the European Union could function as a catalyst to further boost Armenian trade volumes.
In this context, Mirzoyan highly praised Berlin’s steadfast, continued backing of Yerevan's strategic path toward broadening and deepening its broader partnership with the EU.
Geopolitics, Infrastructure, and Energy Resilience
Turning to the broader South Caucasus landscape, the diplomats exchanged views on recent regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan explicitly detailed Armenia's ongoing progress and localized efforts to foster connectivity, open trade routes, and build cooperation among regional neighbors.
The conversation concluded with technical discussions regarding the implementation of specific steps to develop cross-border infrastructure networks and structurally enhance regional energy resilience against external shocks.
