At a recent session of the Khachatur Abovyan State Teachers College Council, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan instructed the dean of Yerevan State University to raise salaries of the teaching staff by 40% by the end of the year.

This raise, aimed at attracting young professionals to the country’s institutions of higher learning, comes on the heels of a 40% wage raise in 2011.
