The site around St. John the Baptist Church, an early 18^th century structure located in Yerevan’s Kond district, is to be improved and beautified as part of the “Yerevan My Love” benevolent program.

Yesterday, Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan met with Eurasia House President Armen Sargsyan to discuss plans to renovate the buildings surrounding the church for use as centers for the hearing impaired children and single mothers

Today, the small stone houses in the area are in a semi-dilapidated condition. The plan is to renovate them in a unique architectural style harmonious with the church building.

A community center will also be created for local residents in addition to an open green space.
