Presidential Chief of Staff - Dialogue Already Started

When asked by a reporter from Novosti Armenia about the alleged dialogue to take place nbetween the HAK political opposition bloc and the government in Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, Chief of the Presidential Staff, said that there have been clear indications that such a dialogue has started quite a while ago and that it has already led to a number of positive changes.

Karapetyan noted that the HAK demand for snap elections was out of the question and merely a sign of the self-serving aims of the opposition movement.

The Chief of Staff also ridiculed the over exaggeration of the term "negotiations" and said that it was merely cooperation between the government and the opposition at issue.

Karapetyan noted that the government would continue its policy of working with all political forces for the future development of Armenia and to build a united front to meet all external challenges facing the nation.
