RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today met with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in Yerevan after they visited Baku and Stepanakert.

The co-chairs expressed the hope that their recent efforts would pave the way for Armenia and Azerbaijan to sign a document of "Basic Principles" that would serve as a foundation for the eventual peaceful settlement of the Karabakh issue at the upcoming summit in Kazan.

Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia had clearly responded to the "Basic Principles" draft as presented by the Minsk Group but that Azerbaijan was the party dragging its feet.

Nalbandian added that the recent comments emanating from Baku suggest that Azerbaijan is not willing to accept the Minsk Group's offer as it presently stands.
