The Deputy Head of the Department for Investigation of the Criminal Cases Investigated by the National Security Agencies supervising the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated by the RA National Security Service adjunct to the RA Government against the general manager of "Akhtala Mining Plant" S. G. Ter-Poghosyan has confirmed the bill of indictment.

Based on the evidence revealed during the preliminary investigation it has been stated that the head of the "Metal Prince Ltd. Corporation" and the general manager of "Akhtala Mining Plant" S. G. Ter-Poghosyan during 2004-2010 under different pretext made observations in the Scout camps, during the meetings in the schools and sport groups, even shot videos and photos, chose the orphans of the poor families, especially those who were fatherless and good-looking and during the first meeting gave them money up to 100.000 drams with the purpose to force them to sexual acts and homosexuality.

He forced a number of minors, including boys who had not reached sexual maturity, to have sexual intercourse with him against their will, making use of their helplessness, needs, psychological vulnerability and the fear from his influence.

During the preliminary investigation Serob Ter-Poghosyan had been charged according to the RA Criminal Code Article 140 (which anticipates up to 3 years of imprisonment) but then according to the RA Criminal Code Article 139, part 2, point 3 and part 3 (which anticipates correspondently 4-10 and 8-15 years of imprisonment).

Prosecutor General's Office reports that the criminal case has been sent to the Court of First Instance of Lori region.
