Artsakh to Commemorate 19th Anniversary of "National Hero's" Death

The 19th anniversary of the death of RA and Artsakh "National Hero" Yuri Poghosyan will be ceremoniously marked in Artsakh tomorrow, June 12, in a series of events.

Yuri Poghosyan was born in the Russian region of Volgograd in 1961. At the start of the Artsakh War, he was engaged in the preparation and manufacture of arms and armaments for the Armenian side. They were first used in 1990 in the Hadrut district of Artsakh.

He was killed on the Askeran-Nakhijevanik front in 1992 and was buried in the Stepanakert cemetery.
