Glendale Public Forum to Address Crucial Issues Facing Armenia & Diaspora

On Friday, November 16, 2012, the Armenian Bar Association and the Glendale Youth Center, at the St. Mary's Church Hall in GlendaleCalifornia, will present an extra-ordinary dialog in which crucial issues facing Armenia and Diaspora will be discussed.

The program will be keynoted
by  Raffi K. Hovannisian--the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, former Member of Parliament and the current Chairman of Armenia's Heritage Party--and by Dr. Viken Hovsepian --Chairman of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Central Committee, Western Region.

Hovannisian and Hovsepian, due to their decades-long leadership in Armenian political establishments and their maximal engagement in community affairs, are uniquely-qualified to share and compare their views at a time of great significance for Armenia and Diaspora.

The special presentation will be moderated by renowned publisher of the The California Courier, Mr. Harut Sassounian, whose weekly newspaper has been in publication since 1958, and whose column, entitled Publisher's Views, is widely disseminated and reprinted in a multitude of Armenian and non-Armenian publications.

"In the shadow of these leading public figures, I will make some brief opening remarks and yield the floor to these exemplary and supremely-dedicated gentlemen, whose efforts in furtherance of the Armenian Cause and in pursuit of comprehensive justice, both in Armenia and the Diaspora, are well-known.  There is no doubt that after this compelling combination of views and visions, we all will be better-positioned to appreciate our Homeland's and our communities' challenges, imperatives, and accomplishments, said Garo Ghazarian, Chairman of the Armenian Bar Association.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 16, 2012, at the St. Mary's Church Hall, 500 S. Central Avenue, in Glendale, California.
