French Journalist Given the “Finger” During Sargsyan Visit to Lyon?
It seems that a minor diplomatic flap occurred on November 14, during the visit of President Sargsyan to Lyon, France
The on-line French newspaper La Tribune de Lyon reports that the Armenian president did not appreciate the questions posed by French TV journalist Olivier Michel.
Michel is said to have directed some questions about corruption in Armenia and the Yerevan government’s support of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
After the interview, Olivier Michel says he "was called out by the Armenian translator and one of the ministers [accompanying the president] threatened me with the finger.”
