Baku Pushes Through Karabakh Addendum in PACE Monitoring Report

According to the Azeri Press Agency (APA), official Baku was able to push through the inclusion of an addendum regarding Karabakh to a PACE monitoring report regarding Azerbaijan.

A draft report had been written by co-rapporteurs Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grekh after their recent visit to Azerbaijan and was presented to a meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee in Paris yesterday for final approval.

The Azerbaijani delegation persisted in demanding that an addendum be made to the third item of the report touching on the geo-political situation in Azerbaijan, especially the Karabakh conflict.

The addendum, adopted after a lengthy debate, reads: "The Assembly regrets that no results have been produced in these negotiations up to now, the relevant resolutions of the UN, PACE, European Parliament and OSCE condemning the military occupation have not been fulfilled yet, the rights of about one million Azerbaijanis have been violated for 20 years."
