
U.S. Appoints Temporary Replacement for Outgoing Minsk Group Co-Chair Bradtke
Outgoing OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair Robert Bradtke has been temporarily replaced by Ambassador Ian Kelly.
He was named U.S.co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group on an interim basis on Dec. 21, pending the appointment of a new permanent co-chair.
Ambassador Kelly has been serving as the United States Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
His official bio states that Kelly was the Press Attaché at the American Embassy in Ankara (1997-2000) and Director of Democratic Initiatives to the Newly Independent States (NIS) at the Department of State from 1994 to 1996.
He has studied Italian, Serbo-Croatian and Turkish at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center of the Department of State. He also speaks Russian.
