Our notions regarding public notaries and notary services are severely limited. The scope of powers reserved to a notary, as set down by the “Law on Notaries”, are quite wide-ranging. However, for average citizens, a notary is one who certifies an authorization or accepts an inheritance petition.
In reality, who is a notary? To what degree do we confide in them and why do we avoid placing our secrets and property in their keeping?
Participating in the discussion are Aram Orbelyan (RA Deputy Minister of Justice), Ara Zohrabyan (attorney and Deputy President of the Chamber of Advocates), and Vahagn Grigoryan (Shengavit District notary).
