Teghout Initiative Calls on Presidential Candidates to Turn Over TV Airtime to the People
The Teghout Defense Civil Initiative has called on all presidential candidates to allocate their free Public TV airtime, either fully or in part, to the citizens of Armenia.
The group argues that since Armenian Public TV never devotes programming to average citizens or civic groups as a platform to discuss and debate issues of public concern, the presidential candidates need to step in and fill the void.
The Teghout Initiative says that one candidate, Andreas Ghoukasyan, has already promised to do so.
