Armenian Universities Paid 3.9 Billion AMD in Taxes Last Year

According to the State Revenue Committee, 13 institutions of higher learning in Armenia were registered as the top 1,000 tax payers in 2012.

The Mkhitar Heratsi Medical University led the way paying 834,534,000 AMD in taxes (112th place overall).

Yerevan State University followed in 145th place, paying 668,793,000 AMD.

The third highest education institution taxpayer was the Yerevan State Economics University at 324,076,000 AMD. (286th overall)

The total taxes paid by the thirteen institutions amounted to some 3.9 billion AMD, up from 3.3 billion in 2011.
