Today, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan promised that 2013 would surpass last year regarding the scope of economic works projects.

The mayor promised that 2 ½ million square meters of streets would be repaved and asphalted.

He said that the capital would get a twenty kilometre new irrigation system.

Margaryan promised greater daily monitoring of garbage removal.

The mayor said that 80 new buses would be put into service this month.

He said that the municipality’s Department of Social Services is continuing to assist 350 Syrian-Armenian families and that 137 have been provided free medical care.
