"Mom, I'll Be Back in Three Days"; Book Dedicated to Fallen Artsakh Freedom Fighter
Yesterday in Yerevan, there was a book reception for a work by Larisa Gevorgyan entitled, “Mom, I’ll be back in three days”.
The book is dedicated to Vaghinak Zakaryan, who fought in the Artsakh War and died in Berdzor.
Gevorgyan vividly recounts how Vaghinak and Samvel (another fighter in the special unit) were sent to reconnoiter and fell into an enemy trap. The two continued to resist till the bitter end.
“Lightning Vagho, with his fierce resistance, had so enraged the enemy, that they began shooting him at point blank range. His body revealed traces of seventy-two bullet wounds.”
