Fourteen students from India enrolled in the first course at Yerevan’s Medical College told police that they were each swindled out of $700 by a fellow Indian citizen.

The students allege that the man approached them with a request for money do that he could purchase an airplane ticket back to India from Yerevan.

Armenian police say they have launched an investigation as to the whereabouts of the man.
