"Super Sako" Photos are Sacrilege, Group Declares
It appears that this recent photo of the rapper "Super Sako", taken against the backdrop of the medieval Haghpat Monastery, has raised the ire of many in Armenia, including the youth.
A civil group calling itself "Know Your Country" has issued a statement labelling the photo as "sadistic and sacrilegious", saying that it has united diverse groups who are concerned regarding the lack of national values in society.
The group says that the furor raised, on the internet and other social forums, regarding the photos (there is more than one), proves that "there are normal people as well living in Armenia in addition to those like Super Sako and his fans".
"Know Your Country" also takes the photographer, Arvin Kocharyan, to task for accepting the photo shoot job in the first place.
