Turkish Military Prosecutor Demands 2-6 Years for Balıkçı Killer

A Turkish military prosecutor has demanded a two to six year sentence for an army private charged with “murder with conscious negligence” in the 2011 murder of  Sevag Balıkçı, an ethnic Armenian.

He was shot on April 24, 2011, in a gendarmerie station in Batman province by another soldier, Kıvanç Ağaoğlu, with whom he was performing his military service.
