President Aliyev – “The war is not yet over”

A huge military parade was staged in downtown Baku on June 26, just two days after Karabakh settlement talks in Kazan failed in reaching an agreement on a basic set of peace principles.

Thousands of soldiers and hundreds of tanks and rocket launchers swept through the Azerbaijani capital, as fighter planes soared overhead, in an apparent show of force. The event was broadcast live on Azerbaijani State TV.

Overseeing the parade was President Ilham Aliyev who declared, “The war is not yet over.”

Military hardware produced in Azerbaijan, including unmanned drones, was on display for the first time, showcasing the country's expanding defense industry.

The Baku parade was the third in the country's post-Soviet history and also marked the country’s 20th anniversary of independence.

Fallon, I’ve heard rumors that President Obama sent Soros to Baku in February to offer Aliyev additional money through the Agency for International Development if he appoints Samir Sharifov to prime minister…any insight on that? What is Sharifov’s involvement with Soros all about?

President Aliyev has done an impressive job showing his teeth, but you have to wonder who he is really afraid of? It is Armenia, Iran? Or is it his secret enemies that really shake him? George Soros is more powerful than any country and he has made it clear that Azerbaijan is next on his take down list. With Samir Sharifov on his side, Aliyev is probably feeling lots of pressure…
