After the recent series of articles in Hetq regarding the business holdings of MP Tigran Arzakantsyan and the fact that he had failed to report the same, the legislator declared that he would publicly deny the information and that Hetq would be held accountable.

So far, MP Arzakantsyan has issued no denial. In fact, I believe there is nothing in the articles that he can deny.

Certain individuals in his circle of friends, either by their own initiative or prompted by Arzakantsyan, have written comments threatening Hetq and the reporters in question.

Generally, we disregard such comments. But given that they are so numerous, we've decided to see who the senders really are.

In the comments section, one Gagik Hayrapetyan writes:

"What business do you have with one of our own villagers? Don't you realize that this man is a king? You're like a flea in comparison. Just try to say those things to his face. What, you have nothing better to do or are you guys just jealous? You're lucky he's a polit person and doesn't punish you and in a bad way like the others. That's why reporters don't write such stuff about others. They are too scared. I'm sure that the legislator has close people who will punish you for your actions."

This same Gagik Hayrapetyan has even written to my personal email address.

"Edik, this man is a king and you are Arzakantsyan's servant. I break all your arms and legs if you continue to write things about Arzakantsyan's."

I immediately replied to Hayrapetyan, suggesting that we meet.

This is his answer.

"If you continue to write we won't just meet. We'll find you and the others and punish you quite badly. We will no longer write you. Take this as a warning."

Another supporter of Arzakantsyan, who goes by the name of "step", also left a similar comment.

He would leave different email addresses, mostly non-existent.

Hetq replied to one of the addresses. It turns out that "step" is actually Karen Sargsyan from Gavar. He's trades in automobiles. We found his photos in Facebook.

I also suggested to him that we meet. Sargsyan replied that I should come to Abovyan. I wrote asking him where.

Sargsyan replied using the email address – [email protected]. He wrote that I shouldn't reply to this address but that I should rather wait.

"What's important is that they have found you. Be patient. All will be well. You will meet the person who wrote. I have changed my password for the email address. Nevertheless you will meet whom you must meet."

Hetq's attorney advised us to immediately contact law enforcement regarding the threats.
